Shipping Clerk Responsibilities:
- Package orders for shipment
- Ensure that all shipments leave as scheduled
- Help to maintain a clean and efficient environment
- Document and processes the order shipment
- Consolidate orders on final table, box or crate them up and get shipment ready for processing in system
- Assist with quality control, light assembly, tagging valves and labeling boxes, inventory management, organization, general maintenance, & other warehouse projects as needed
- Check final product for accuracy with respect to the job and sales order
- Assist shipping specialist in getting orders shipped on time with all required documents
- Able to perform shipping in absence of shipping specialist and create BOL for various freight lines
- Ensure safety and integrity of product when they leave from plant to reach customers without getting damaged
Shipping Clerk Requirements:
- Computer experience in Fed Ex or UPS preferred
- Forklift experience
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Basic math, computer, and typing skills
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team or independently
- High school diploma preferred
- 1-3 years related experience; or additional specialized training or certification
- Complete all duties with or without reasonable accommodations
