We are seeking a highly experienced Process Engineer with over 10 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes. Process Engineer Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes and equipment to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Evaluate and redesign existing workflows and machinery to improve operational efficiency and safety.
- Lead and execute capital projects from concept through commissioning, including the design and specification of pumps, presses, and custom machinery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, production, quality, and safety to identify improvement opportunities and troubleshoot process issues.
- Develop technical documentation such as process flow diagrams (PFDs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and equipment specifications.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventative actions related to process inefficiencies or equipment failures.
- Use AutoCAD or SolidWorks to produce detailed mechanical and process-related drawings.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers or technical staff.
Process Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on process improvement and machinery design.
- Demonstrated experience working across multiple departments or areas within a plant (e.g., production, maintenance, quality, EH&S).
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks for mechanical design and process layout development.
- Experience designing and optimizing pumps, presses, or similar mechanical systems is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, materials handling, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
