We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join a growing team here in the OKC area. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating a brake press, laser cutter, and band saws, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced machine shop environment. Machine Operator Key Responsibilities:
- Operate brake press, laser cutting machine, and band saws to fabricate metal parts and components to specification.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders.
- Accurately measure raw materials and finished parts using a tape measure and other measuring tools (calipers, squares, etc.).
- Set up machines according to specifications and perform routine checks to ensure equipment is operating correctly.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with company safety policies.
- Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance or adjustments on machines as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines.
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy and ensure they meet specifications.
- Follow all shop procedures and instructions from supervisors.
Machine Operator Qualifications:
- Must be able to read and use a tape measure accurately.
- Previous experience working in a machine shop is required.
- Familiarity with brake press, laser cutting, and band saw operations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
- Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Basic math and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift materials (up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]), and perform repetitive tasks.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be a team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
