Machine Operator Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate postage meter machine.
- Operator other machines as necessary within the First-Class Department.
- Weigh mail and put correct postage on pieces.
- Requires jogging and fanning the material to achieve desired results.
- Able to keep mail flowing by clearing jams and resetting machines.
- Clear conveyor according to tray breaks, neatly stack trays on post-cons, correctly labeling trays.
- Blow machine out and leave an organized clean work area for next shift.
- Recordkeeping is required to document meter counts.
Machine Operator Skills and Requirements:
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
- Able to Communicate professionally and effectively, in a clear & concise manner.
- Technically and mechanically inclined.
- Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift
- Ability to work Full-Time and/or part-time based on the specific position for which you’re applying.
- Bending/Stooping, Squatting, Climbing, Reaching Above Shoulder Level, Crouching, Kneeling, Balancing, Pushing/Pulling
- Able to lift, carry and push 35-50 lbs.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
