CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read production orders, gauges, interpret blueprints and material specifications.
- Translate the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production
- Regularly performs milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring and sawing.
- Inspect with the appropriate gauging technique.
- Perform traceability marking and documentation.
- Operation of overhead crane and forklift
- Basic equipment and tooling upkeep.
- Assists in other work areas to perform fabrication.
CNC Machinist Skills and Requirements:
- Strong math skills, including decimals and fraction.
- Extensive knowledge of machine maintenance and operation
- Mechanically inclined with basic machinery and tooling knowledge
- Ability to read, write and communicate well.
- Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
- Computer knowledge
- Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling objects that are 50 pounds or less.
- High School diploma
- Prior experience as a CNC Operator or a completion of a CNC program from a technical or trade school
