Mechanical Assembler Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installing, mounting, or setting, equipment and/or components as engineered
- Assemble hoses for water and airlines.
- Assemble chains, sprockets, shafts, guards, and couplings.
- Assemble pipe and pipefittings of PVC, CPVC, polypropylene, and stainless, by gluing, welding, or threading.
- Hydro test tanks, vessels, basins, and piping
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Verify and manage drawings, drawing revisions and assembly kits.
- Complete required quality documentation
- Complete project time records daily
- Adhere to quality processes, procedures, and guidelines.
Mechanical Assembler Skills and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years of mechanical assembly or plumbing and pipefitting experience
- Use of hand and power tools
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Knowledge of hardware and fasteners
- Plastic welding skills are required (Training courses are provided when needed.)
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
- Personnel management is a plus.
- Lean manufacturing experience is desirable.
- Forklift and crane operating experience is essential.
